There are many players in South Tyrol, who constantly demonstrate their high-level competence in the Free Software sector.
This is what the TIS innovation park, the Formazione Professionale CTS “L. Einaudi” and the Free University of Bozen - Bolzano have worked on to realize a lot of successful projects. This had represented the basis for the discovery of Free Software as a strong point for South Tyrol.
This is how the will of connection in this field grew in these partners. That's the reason why the Free Software Center was founded. The Free Software Center represents for the players of the economical reality and for the institutions a fix reference point, a place for development, synergies and exchange of ideas.
